It is that time of the year again when you are trying to find that perfect planner. You are looking for a planner that is going to fit all of your personal, school, and professional needs. Finding a planner that meets all of your needs and desires can be a difficult task! It really is a balance.... Most of the time you are looking for a planner that is affordable, matches your planning needs, works with your planning style and a planner that is efficient. However, you may end up settling on a calendar that meets one or two of your needs. It becomes the same story every year. Every year, I shop in a large office supply store and spend an average of $30-50 for a planner that works for about midway through the year. So, I have to be honest, sometimes I think it is a waste of money. Well I did it a little differently this year. In fact by accident, I found myself shopping at HomeGoods to reinvent my office space and stumbled on planners...Then I just could not believe it! There were these amazing planner's! Planners at HomeGoods? I was able to purchase three planners that I loved for less than $30. That is right, I got three planners for the price of one and they are beautiful, effective, and efficient. I was able to keep one for myself and gave two to some of my favorite people to increase their productivity. It was the best thing ever.

The planners had color and a space for quick notes and to-do's. It was filled with colorful tabs that help organize and separate the months and makes the months pretty easy to navigate! This allows you to easily plan months in advance.
The planners had a monthly view with a space to free write notes. It has a wonderful inspirational quote at the top of the page to inspire you as you set your goals and to do's for the month.
The other calendar that was purchased had a monthly view with limited color, however color was inserted into this planner with the use of highlighters and a key was added to differentiate what each color stands for.
You can easily insert color as shown below to make your basic calendar pop with color and inspire you to reach for new heights. This calendar had a space for writing daily tasks, notes, and weekly to-do's. This is a great calendar if you need a little bit more of a structured space. You can use it to organize your goals, and your weekly To-dos.
A planner should be your space to help you become more efficient and increase your productivity. It is not just a sheet of paper that reminds you of your daily to-do's. It should be a space that allows you to not only plan for the day but to increase the amount of tasks you can complete each day. A planner should be one that inspires you to accomplish your daily tasks and you really should not have to break the bank (unless you want too of course) to find a planner that works for you. You can make it into the planner you want it to be. It is a wonderful thing when you can create a space to help you increase your productivity and efficiency and not have to spend a lot of money to do it. In fact you can get the planner that you need for less than $10. That is a total savings about $5-40 depending on how much you spend on your calendar. That extra money can be utilized to help you accomplish some of your other goals or tasks. I love the sound of saving money and still being able to get what I want and need.
